To fix problems on an Excel spreadsheet, for example when the numbers don't add up or the pie chart has too many slices, click Tools, Options, View, check Formulas and click OK. The formulas will now appear and can be corrected. There’s also a quicker way: press Control-Tilde (~) and Excel will switch between data display and formula display.
